Zoku Owarimonogatari Anime Reveals Visual, Fall Theatrical Premiere (Updated With Video)

The official website for the Monogatari franchise announced on Saturday that the anime adaptation of NisiOisin‘s Zoku Owarimonogatari novel will have theatrical event screenings this fall. The website also unveiled a second visual and promotional video. (Note: Linked video is region-locked to Japan.)

NisiOisin‘s Monogatari Series novels began with Bakemonogatari in 2006. The novel series’ “final season” ended with Zoku Owarimonogatari in September 2014, but it featured a teaser for “MonogatariSeries, Next Season Tsugimonogatari.” Four “Off Season” novels — OrokamonogatariWazamonogatariNademonogatari, and Musubimonogatari — shipped in 2015 and 2016. The novel series’ new “Monster Season” launched with the Shinobumonogatari novel last July.

The novel series centers on Koyomi Araragi, a loner and failing student. One day, his classmate Hitagi Senjōgahara falls into his arms accidentally, and he discovers that Hitagi literally weighs nothing. According to her, she has had this problem since the first year of high school. After Koyomi helps out with her supernatural problem, Koyomi then meets other girls who are all troubled by some manner of supernatural “oddity.”

Aniplex of America is releasing the anime adaptations of the Monogatari Series in North America. The Owarimonogatari Second Season anime special, the most recent anime in the franchisetackles the third Owarimonogatari novel. It premiered in a two-day television special on August 12-13. Aniplex of America streamed the special on Crunchyroll.

The franchise will get its first smartphone game, Monogatari Series Puc Puc, for iOS and Android devices this August. The cast for the franchise‘s main heroines will perform the theme song “wicked prince.”

Sword Art Online: Alicization Anime’s Video Reveals Additional Staff (Updated with English Subtitled Video) – Released On Oct

Aniplex of America revealed a new promotional video for the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime during the “Sword Art Online Summer Festival 2018” panel at Anime Expo on Friday. Aniplex is streaming the video, which reveals more staff for the anime. (Note: The linked video and the first embedded video below is region-locked to Japan.)

Aniplex of America also began streaming the same video on Friday with English subtitles. (The below video is available worldwide outside of Japan.)

Manabu Ono (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Saki, The Asterisk War) is directing the anime at A-1 Pictures. Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale animation directors Gou Suzuki and Tomoya Nishiguchi will join Shingo Adachi for the character designs.

Ono said in an interview on the anime’s official website that he accepted the job as director around the time of the Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale film’s preview screenings, and he has heard from Aniplex staff since that time that the plan is to adapt the original novel series all the way to the end.

The series will again star Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito and Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna. Ai Kayano will play Alice, and Nobunaga Shimazaki will play Eugeo.

The anime will cover the entirety of the novels’ “Alicization Arc.” The Alicization arc is in volumes 9 through 18 of the original novel series.

The novel series has two television anime adaptations, an anime special, and a recent film. The franchise has also inspired multiple manga series, games, and a virtual reality demonstration in Japan. Aniplex of America releases the anime in North America. Skydance Television is planning a live-action series on Netflix based on the novels.

Steins ; Gate Elite Game’s Western Release Delayed to Early 2019 – New


Spike Chunsoft announced at the Steins;Gatepanel at Anime Expo on Thursday that it has delayed its release of the Steins;Gate Elite game in North America and Europe to early 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and for PC via Steam. The company’s newly established North American subsidiary had announced in March that it planned to release the game this year.

All PS4 and Steam versions of the game will come with the Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogrambonus content. All Switch versions will include “8-bit adventure Steins;Gate.”

The game will launch in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and NintendoSwitch on September 20. The game was originally slated to ship on March 15 in Japan, but was delayed.

WHITE FOX (Steins;GateSteins;Gate 0Steins;Gate – The Movie – Load Region of Déjà Vu) is providing anime scenes for the game, and the scenes will include some that did not appear in the television anime.

Steins;Gate Elite is a major update of the original Steins;Gate game from Mageswith new elements. The game replaces scenes in the original visual novel with scenes from the anime adaptation. 5pb. Games previously streamed a commercial for the game last November that hinted that “world lines” that were not animated in the anime are “being experimented.”
